Cartoons lost...

Man...I miss watching cartoons....I used to sit for hours and just watch cartoons, now, i hate cartoons....I'd rather watch law and order, or CSI, or some shit like that. Doug, and spongebob, and smurfs, and the original scooby doo, and when south park first came out....I was all over that shit. Now I hate cartoons. That sucks....cartoons were the shit. Along with yo-yos, and those damn giga pets they banned from school, and the pokemon cards...(they banned those too), it seemed like everytime when i was little, when we found something that was cool as hell, they banned it from school. Thats bullshit. I think they've banned those new "heelie" things from schools now too, but im not quite sure....wouldnt surprise me....its not like you can make a kid pay attention in school anyway. If they dont wanna listen, then they're not going to....might as well put the school board's energy into something else other than fighting a loosing battle. i kinda liked school, what i didnt like is getting in trouble all the time for beating the shit out of the other kids....but hey, i have anger control now....(had for a few years....GO ME!), and i plan on going to art school one day.....soon hopefully.

i miss the good ol' days of great cartoon wirting too. it seems now a days, kids are so into sports and the arts that network execs dont feel the need to try anymore. in my town of Dallas, most channels show the news, and that fucking sux. even cartoon network shows bullshit cartoons int he morning. i feel bad for kids now a days what with the way cartoons are.

i hated school, i hate school and ill always hate school. as for those "heelie" things, if they those skate shoes, they banned htose cause kids now a days are dumb. they easily hurt themselves on everything. if its not nerf, theyll most likely die form it.

I am a few years older than you, not by much, but I remember some more of the classic cartoons, like the original Tom and Jerry (wanna talk about some cartoon violence?) Mel Blanc, and Fred Quimby. These were on every evening on TNT, and of course on the weekends it was Nickelodeon for Double Dare, etc. I still will catch South Park, Family Guy, every Pixar movie, but for the most part, all of the adult humor they slipped into the kids cartoons of yesteryear is gone. Hell, they even ban old cartoons, and entire characters like Speedy Gonzales. You can look em up on YouTube, and the box sets are out there too, but it's not the same. The kids today are getting such a list to pick from and they are none the wiser. Have a good one Christy.

I agree, the old cartoons were good. Recently I used to like watching Futurama but they canned that. :( Then I started to watch South Park but it's on at some ridiculous time so I can't :(

Oh well, at least I've got Itchy and Scratchy. :)

my parents were old tech pirates..USA used to be a more cartoony show (better than it is now) and they this thing called the cartoon express.

I have about every scooby doo episode ever made because they would record them everyday for me because I had to go to school when it came on.

Scooby doo with scrappy doo too, the 13 ghosts of scooby doo..tons

Chilly Willy, Woody Woodpecker,Smurfs..all good memories

Now its south park/family guy/american dad and of course porn as my dose of "documentaries"
